John White

John was educated at the University of Victoria in Canada and holds a PhD in Physics focusing on LEP Standard Model measurements. He joined CERN in 1999 and acquired experience in distributed computing from 2000 to 2015 through a series of European Grid projects. Since 2015 he has worked as project manager for European computing Cloud infrastructure. In 2021 he joined Protonmail, a leading global provider, as a site infrastructure engineer, moving on to SixSq in 2023.
